Dear Friend,

THIS is exactly why I'm taking my Kodak Zi8 camera with me everywhere I go. You never know what you're gonna run into.

I'm having fun finding the marketing lessons in these everyday situations.

We used to have one Elvis guy around here too…

    They're everywhere!

Only this one was creepy and used to give money to kids.

What a strange world we live in Dan…

    What a very strange world.

    Hey Dan;

Another great lesson which I thoroughly enjoyed. let that hair of yours grow a little longer and you could do a duo. Enjoy your day.

Thanks Dan. I love it, and you are right. So many great lessons in everyday life. But I may be too shy to dress up like that. Wow! Rhinestones or jelly beans. I love it.

You would definitely get some attention if you showed up to a speaking gig dressed like Elvis.

But probably not the kind of attention you'd want.

Cool… I could actually see this video! :-)

The other videos have been producing some kind of error so I can't watch them. Not sure if it's my geriatric laptop that needs replacing or what…

Sorry about that, Ryan. They are all embedded YouTube links so I don't know why they haven't been working for you.

If you go to my YouTube channel here:

… you should hopefully be able to see them all.

I wanted to do that soooo bad on my video. My better judgment got the best of me.

    Hey Dan,

Thanks to the mirror behind you, we finally got the chance to see the Colombiana! At least I assume that was her. Nice.

The idea of shameless promotion has always embarrassed me but I guess it works. I ought to get more aggressive instead of sitting back and waiting for the website-blog-copy-SEO to bring the customers to me.

    Good lesson, my friend.

Yup, that was the Colombiana. She HATED that she appeared briefly and asked me to edit it out. I couldn't or it would have cut out almost all of Elvis.

I'm trying to talk her into being in a video with me. She has an interesting story about overcoming fears and challenges that all entrepreneurs need to hear.

    Dan,

Maybe you could get your wife to do a podcast if she doesn't want to appear on camera.

I've tried to get my Peruvian wife to get involved with online marketing, since the Spanish-speaking market is almost completely untouched. But she thinks she's living her dream now: living and working in the USA. And you can't change someone's beliefs, no matter how hard you try.

I'll ask her. She doesn't speak English very well so I'd have to translate a lot of stuff.
