You knock one down and another immediately pops its lil\u2019 head up to take its place.<\/p>\n<p>However, these days there\u2019s one problem you have to deal with that <em>never<\/em> ends.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s super frustrating. Because for most online businesses it\u2019s the number one driver of sales and revenues&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Email marketing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And the problems <em>never<\/em> stop. In fact, it just keeps getting more and more difficult&#8230; day after day. (Thanks to TPTB&#8230; but that\u2019s insider info <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/marketingcamelot.com\/\">I only share with my knights<\/a><\/span>.)<\/p>\n<p>The worst part is, most online business owners are clueless about how to conquer all these email marketing problems.<\/p>\n<p>So was I a mere 18 months ago when I got \u201ccanceled\u201d from email marketing.<\/p>\n<p>However, I finally figured it out. And now I\u2019ve gone from the worst email sender ranking with Google&#8230; to their highest email sender reputation ranking.<\/p>\n<p>Now, you\u2019d think that now that I\u2019m back on top it\u2019s just a matter of coasting.<\/p>\n<p>Nope. That highest possible email sender reputation ranking can start dropping lower and lower in a New York minute if I\u2019m not ever vigilant.<\/p>\n<p>And the problem if that happens is this:<\/p>\n<p>In the <em>best<\/em>-case scenario, Google (and most other email service providers) don\u2019t allow your emails to inbox. They send them to Promotions or Spam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the <em>worst<\/em> case, they don\u2019t allow your emails to arrive <em>at all.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Which is why, now that I\u2019m a top dawg email sender according to Google, I\u2019m doing something I\u2019ve not seen any other online marketers do to <em>stay<\/em> in that position.<\/p>\n<p>Soon, I\u2019ll only email my buyers and anybody who has clicked a link within the past 30 days.<\/p>\n<p>And all the folks who only open emails and never click links &#8212; and more importantly, never actually <em>buy<\/em> anything &#8212; they will be allowed to die on the vine. In other words, I will not continue sending emails to them. They will be marked as \u201cunengaged.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You see, I\u2019ve gotten extremely aggressive about getting unengaged people off my list. It\u2019s now necessary based on what Google and most of the other ESPs are doing.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I can no longer count someone as \u2018engaged\u2019 if they only open emails, yet never click links and never buy.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s all just a test right now. So don\u2019t write this down as the online marketing \u2018gospel\u2019 according to Doberman Dan. I could be totally wrong about this. (Although after 26 years marketing online, I\u2019m pretty sure I\u2019m not.)<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll be keeping the knights in my Marketing Camelot updated regularly on the results from this test. Because there are a lot of subtle and sneaky things I\u2019m doing in the first 6 to 8 weeks with new opt-ins that I won\u2019t reveal to civilians. So if you\u2019re one of my knights <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/marketingcamelot.com\/\">stay tuned for regular updates.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Anyhoo&#8230; I said all that to say this:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If you use email marketing, this sending only to clickers and buyers &#8212; and ignoring the people who only open but never click and buy &#8212; is something you might want to test.<\/li>\n<li>To let you know &#8212; if you are a person who only opens my emails but never clicks links and has never bought anything from me &#8212; if you don\u2019t at least click a link in my emails this week&#8230; you ain\u2019t gonna be hearing from me again for a while. And maybe forever.<\/li>\n<li>The way to make sure that you keep getting my emails &#8212; AND to get special content, discounts and offers that the non-buyers <em>never<\/em> receive &#8212; is to invest in one of my products today.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Listen, if you\u2019re tight on cash, I can relate. I\u2019ve been in that spot a bunch of times.
