Back in the day… before any schmuck with Garageband and a YouTube account could release an album…<\/p>\n

…a no-name guitar teacher, Joe Satriani, had an idea.<\/p>\n

He used the money he had left on a credit card to record his own instrumental album, and released it on his own record label, started from his kitchen table. (Album name, \u201cNot of this earth.\u201d Hence the subject line.)<\/p>\n

This is typical these days. But back in 1984 this was unchartered territory.<\/p>\n

With a net worth that\u2019s now estimated at $12 million… from doing his own thang… well, let\u2019s just say that it worked out pretty well for Joe.<\/p>\n

You see, Joe isn\u2019t just a musician.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s an entrepreneur. His product is music.<\/p>\n

And I\u2019ve learned a lot from him.<\/p>\n
