You\u2019re not tall enough.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re not talented enough.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the wrong sex.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the wrong color.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re from the wrong country\/state\/city\/county\/town.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re from the wrong side of the tracks.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re from the wrong family.<\/p>\n

Your ancestors slipped into the gene pool while the lifeguard wasn\u2019t paying attention.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t sing.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t play.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t act.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t write.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t [fill in the blank with ANYTHING you do… or want to do.]<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t.<\/p>\n

You just can\u2019t.<\/p>\n

But yet…<\/p>\n

…in the midst of the constant and never-ending onslaught of your own thoughts…<\/p>\n

…the ones telling you what you can\u2019t do…<\/p>\n

… and the LEGION of others telling you that you can\u2019t…<\/p>\n

…it\u2019s there.<\/p>\n

A still, small voice whispering \u201cyou CAN.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stop.<\/p>\n

Quiet the chaos of your mind and listen.<\/p>\n

It whispers…<\/p>\n

\u201cYou CAN.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOthers with much less ability than you have done it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo why NOT you?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou CAN.\u201d<\/p>\n

And isn\u2019t it funny?<\/p>\n

When you really focus in on what that still, small voice is saying…<\/p>\n

…it gets amplified.<\/p>\n

Amplified to the point that all the other voices saying \u201cyou can\u2019t\u201d get pushed FAR into the background…<\/p>\n

…then quickly drowned out by the voice saying \u201cYOU CAN.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the interesting thing:<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve been able all along to drown out the \u201cyou\u00a0can\u2019t\u201d voices.<\/p>\n

Simply by focusing your attention and belief on that still, small voice.<\/p>\n

The one that\u2019s still saying what it has ALWAYS said…<\/p>\n

\u201cYou CAN.\u201d<\/p>\n
