Dear Friend,<\/p>\n

I once heard master marketer, Dan Kennedy say this:<\/p>\n

“If you discard the message because of something you don’t like about the messenger… you’ll never learn or do anything<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

It’s true.<\/p>\n

Gary Halbert knew a lot about health stuff. He researched it constantly.<\/p>\n

He could tell you how to exercise and eat to maintain perfect health, new medical discoveries and breakthroughs, which medicines worked and which would kill you, etc.<\/p>\n

He knew ALL that stuff.<\/p>\n

The problem was, as long as I knew him, he never did any of it.<\/p>\n

Since he personally chose not to follow his own advice, does that mean what he taught about health has no value?<\/p>\n

Throughout his lifetime, Halbert made (and lost) several fortunes. He helped a bunch of other people make their fortunes, too.<\/p>\n

While I was working with him he chose not to make a whole lot of money. (I didn’t understand his reasons at that time, but I do now.)<\/p>\n

I’ve figured out how to start low budget “kitchen table” businesses, build them on a shoestring and make a six-figure income.<\/p>\n

It’s not really that complicated. I’ve revealed many of my secrets on this blog.<\/p>\n

I could make a LOT more money than I’m making right now.<\/p>\n

I know EXACTLY how to do it because I’ve done it before. I just don’t want to right now… for a lot of the same reasons Halbert had.<\/p>\n

But if you’re willing to listen to me and do what it takes, I can show you how to make an absolute FORTUNE.<\/p>\n

Another example…<\/p>\n

I used to train in a really hardcore gym here in Florida. The owner was about 100 lbs. overweight and drank huge 64 oz. cups of soda all day long.<\/p>\n

But at one time, the guy was a champion strength athlete.<\/p>\n

In spite of his current physical condition, he coached a whole bunch of people to win regional bodybuilding titles.<\/p>\n

He knew how to get in great shape… he just didn’t practice what he preached.<\/p>\n

My point is this…<\/p>\n

Don’t discard the message because of the messenger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here’s something absolutely bone-headed stupid…<\/p>\n

You choose not to learn from somebody because you don’t like their personality.<\/p>\n

Or even MORE stupid…<\/p>\n

Discarding the message because you choose to be offended by the messenger’s personality, presentation style or word choices.<\/p>\n

(In reality, somebody can’t really offend you. You’re in control of how you react. If you’re offended, it’s your own choice.)<\/p>\n

An intelligent person overlooks that stuff and extracts the lessons they need.<\/p>\n

I’ve learned some incredibly important things from people who were complete jerks, treated me terribly and used “gutter language”.<\/p>\n

And what they taught saved my life (literally) several times.<\/p>\n

I guess if I were the type of person who chooses to be easily offended, I would have been killed before my 22nd birthday.<\/p>\n

Several of my colleagues were.<\/p>\n

In my previous gig, the easily offended either washed out really fast, were severely disabled or killed.<\/p>\n

Or even worse… they got other innocent people killed.<\/p>\n

Pansies were a threat to my survival. That’s probably why still to this day I can’t stand to have them around me.<\/p>\n

But I digest.<\/p>\n

We’re talking about learning how to be successful in marketing.<\/p>\n

The bottom line is…<\/p>\n

If you’re looking for the perfect messenger,
you’re never going to learn ANYTHING!<\/strong><\/p>\n

An intelligent, compassionate person knows that we’re all just flawed human beings… and most of us are just trying to do our best in this world.<\/p>\n

If somebody has a successful track record in something… and you really want to know what they know… you’re going to have to accept them, flaws and all, if you truly want to learn from them.<\/p>\n

If not, you’re going to find fault with EVERYBODY and will continually use that as an excuse for your own inaction.<\/p>\n

Look, I know I can be a little rough around the edges at times. My life experiences have a lot to do with that… but… I yam what I yam.<\/p>\n

If I’ve offended you in some way, I’m sorry.<\/p>\n

I’d be willing to bet if you stick around long enough and overlook my rough edges, you’re bound to learn something that will make a HUGE positive impact in your life.<\/p>\n

In fact, I guarantee it.<\/p>\n
