{"id":10085,"date":"2012-05-20T09:42:28","date_gmt":"2012-05-20T14:42:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dobermandan.com\/?p=10085"},"modified":"2012-10-24T21:51:50","modified_gmt":"2012-10-25T02:51:50","slug":"hire-doberman-dan-copywriter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dobermandan.com\/blog\/hire-doberman-dan-copywriter\/","title":{"rendered":"Can You Hire Doberman Dan?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Friend,<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve spent most of the past two decades as my own best client&#8230; writing copy for my own entrepreneurial projects.<\/p>\n<p>It pays really well and my client is pretty easy to tolerate&#8230; most of the time.<\/p>\n<p>The best part? <!--more-->He does everything I tell him to do without whining, excuses or delay&#8230; and that attitude&#8230; and those actions consistently bring him in a rather healthy chunk of change.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s pretty much the ideal client.<\/p>\n<p>But&#8230; occasionally&#8230; in a rare moment of weakness&#8230; I&#8217;ve been known to take a client or two.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s pretty sporadic but it does happen.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhoo&#8230; I guess rumors spread fast in our little world and word has gotten out that I sold my supplement business a couple months ago.<\/p>\n<p>Since then requests about my availability have surged. The back and forth with these overly optimistic folks reminds me of a scene from <em>Dumb &amp; Dumber<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Lloyd:<\/strong> What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me&#8230; ending up together?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Mary:<\/strong> Well, Lloyd, that&#8217;s difficult to say. I mean, we don&#8217;t really&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Lloyd:<\/strong> Hit me with it! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you, Mary. The least you can do is level with me.
