@Kagimu

You must read a lot of Dr. Wayne W. Dyer's books. I've read most of them, and currently reading excuses Begone.

I had a lot of money and now it's gone. I figured out it was my fear of losing it that made it disappear.

The great part about it is I get to start a new direct response congrommerate. (not sure if thats spelled right. they should have spell check in these comment boxes :)

Good-day Uncle DD,

Please, allow me to point out a demonstrably natural operative fact,
namely and for example, when you walk by an aggresive dog not feeling afraid, he just stares at you.

On the occasion that you walk by the same dog and feeling afraid, he will definitely charge at you, even if you do not look at him.

Have you noticed the PARADAIGM SHIFT therein?

The THOUGHT of fear and the instantly relevant accompanying FEELING/EMOTION of being afraid.

The realm of money, is to many, a can of worms that stirs up an intense plethora of emotions/feelings, most of which are expressing clearly the sentiment of NOT having or not having enough or a lack of money.

Therefore taking your friendly counsel to live below one's means, is walking a razor's edge. You are in effect telling yourself by thought and therefore feeling/emotions that you do NOT have enough money.

By expressing such a sentiment within, and this is occurring just below your conscious awareness, and if sustained with an intesity of
a matter of minutes, and repeated often enough, as usually occurs, in effect you pull to you the very circumstances that you do NOT want, the lack of money or not having enough, exactly as in the case of the dog above.

You can easily notice very carefully, that what you MOSTLY think about MOST of the time, is what your circumstances are, or come to be. And there exactly, right there, is Gary Helbert, making $20,000 a day and was broke.

The key here is that these thoughts and feelings, are just under your conscious awareness, operating below your CONSCIOUS RADAR, because you have practiced them so much, there are part of you, so you do not easily notice them.
Question: How often are you consciously aware that you are breathing, or blinking?

If you DELIBERATELY POLICE your thoughts for a day and make a note of it, you will see clearly that what you mostly think about, most of the time, is what you have come to be, is what you are, or are becoming regardless of whether it is boom times or not.

The EXTERNAL circumstances outside of your thoughts and feelings, do not matter at all.

The TRICK out of that self-sabotage, though unintended, is the
PARADAIGM SHIFT.
You have to deliberately decide as precisely as possible, how you want your life. What do you want it to be like, be as detailed to the max. Let it be in your thoughts and feelings AS IF it's already here and you are NOW living it.

That is where MOST of your thoughts must be MOST of the time,IN CERTAINITY, and never look back where you have been or concern self about any external circumstances, such as the "B.S. recession".

You can speed things up by taking a full minute every few hours, and completely immerse yourself, mindwise, in thoughts and feelings of what is your typical day like, when you already have everything exactly as you want it. Never allow any opposing thought and do not tell anyone.

And remember, human beings, we are creatures of habit and you are going to practice (work) to discard the old habits (thoughts and feelings) of lack or not enough money.
Take it or leave, you create your circumstances, usually subconsciously (below conscious radar). It is time you start to do it deliberately and consciously.

Uncle DD, more power to you brother.
Your sharing is beyond words, thank you ever more.

Yeah... no idea

I'm using Firefox but tested out your site in Safari. At one point in time I used to get paid to design websites now I can't even figure this out.

All good. Probably just something to do with my updates on this end and I'll get it resolved eventually.

Thank you Dan.

@John
Thank you John. :)

Javascript is enabled but still the same issue.
And this is the only site I've had video problems with so far.

But who knows... this Mac has been getting a little bit of
personality lately.

I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually... just have too many fires going at the moment. :)

Thank you.

I lived outside of the US for a couple of years primarily because I was able to live dirt cheap. I was in the heart of downtown Montreal, huge apartment, sending my daughter to a bilingual school - and my bills totaled less than $1,200 a month. I banked A TON of money at that time - and my daughter got the experience of learning another language, in another country. Living below your means doesn't mean you have to pitch a tent and eat ramen noodles. Good post Dan. More people should hear this.

Hey Courtney,

That's weird. It's supposed to be a universal video player that functions on all browsers.

Are you using Safari or Firefox?

Is anybody else having trouble viewing the videos?

Dan

Hey Dan,

Wish I could see the videos you've been posting lately.

I have no idea why, but for some reason this is the one site that won't let me view videos... Must be some minor issue with my browser or something?

Still, I soak up the nuggets you give out in your posts and thank you for sharing what you know.

Gary seems to have taken on a second life with your site and I'm grateful to you for it.

Thanks Dan.

Courtney

P.S. I just hope I can get the whole video not playing thing figured out on my computer... It's probably one of those Mac things!

Hi Dan,

I guess I was lucky because from an early age I was taught that if you don't have money to pay cash, then you don't need it.

Buy a smaller car or house, then save and when you have more cash move up to something larger.

Stop trying to compete with the other guy, it will only give you bigger notes.

Good advice, Dan!

Frugality is so entrenched in me Dan, that my banknotes rarely see the light of day without flinching and if the coinage or change from a meagre spend gets back into my pocket, my pants are almost hanging around my knees within months. lol : )

Some good advice Dan.
