Good morning Dan,

John here, it felt really *good* to hear my name in your video, and looking at the comments above, it seems that a few other folks found this insight into your routine helpful, too. I definitely will check out GatherPlace. By coincidence this tip comes very timely. Thanks a lot.

By the way: Boring is all relative. Better don't ask what my day looks like. :-)

Dan, thanks for sharing your routine . . . sure beats the "jump into the stress bucket daily" routine I'm doing these days on my day job. Your post is purely inspiring. I work on a PC and seriously considering switching over to a MAC. Looks like all the tools are available to run a successful direct response business.

Hope "the Colombiana" is doing well.

Peace,

Dan,

Now that's an office

Thanks for sharing a day in the life. It's always inspirational to get another perspective on how to spend your time as an entrepreneur.

On a side note, I had a thought.

I searched and searched and searched and to my disbelief I couldn't find a "day in the life" of a moonlighter (someone with a job but works on their own at home).

That's where I think a number of people are coming from. We're trying to start a business on the side and cant wait for the day we can say "I quit!". I know you got maybe a 100 or so requests for your youtube series but seriously when I step back and think about it

Managing Your Time With A Job Has To Be Highly Efficient

You only got 3 or so hours, so whats the best way to use that time. You've been there, I'd love to hear how you want from civil service to a full fledged body building company with only a few hours a day.

Sorry, end of rant.

Great vid.

Out,

Hey Dan

That your routine seems mundane to you demonstrates to us that a successful marketer must consistently perform the necessary productive tasks, while strictly managing time.

For example, I noticed you weren't on posting on forums, social media, or celebrity gossip sites. I wonder how much productivity those places kill.

Been using CoolTimer to manage by activities and nothing gets me in the mood to move on than Beach Boys - "California Girls" (mp3).

Great video, DD!

wow it takes me at least 33minutes and 33 seconds to get going in the morning....to start my 12hour plus workdays. How can i peel down my time spent working? Is the concept of the 4 hour work week a possibility? What do you think?

Wait, you only spend 33 minutes a day writing copy? That is amazing. The routine may look boring, but it is the writing you produce that counts, right? Thanks, that was a personal look and I appreciate your willingness to share.

Now that's one sharp looking dog.

Too bad you wasted so much of the video on your computer.

Such a waste of my talent.

I'm depressed now.

Give me something to eat.
