Happy 4th Of July!

Dear Friend,
We're celebrating two important things in my household today.
The first is the 234th anniversary of our nation's declaration of independence.
The second is the Colombiana's birthday.
Both are a pretty big deal to me because both events have greatly contributed to my personal happiness.
When I had my personal "declaration of independence" from my J-O-B back in 1997, I had no idea where this journey was going to lead me.
It's been a wild ride… but I don't regret one second of it.
Freedom was worth all the sacrifices.
My only regret is that I didn't do it a decade earlier.
In the spirit of Independence Day today in the U.S., I'd like to share one of my favorite parts of the Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
Isn't that awesome? You were BORN with certain unalienable rights.
"Unalienable" means they are not to be taken away from you… or God forbid, willingly relinquished.
No government, no king, no leader, either self-appointed or elected, can "grant" you these rights.
They can't grant them because you already have them! They're automatically yours at birth.
You don't need anybody's permission to exercise these rights… what you do with them is entirely up to you.
You can choose to relinquish them, allowing yourself to be ruled by others.
Or you can stand and make whatever sacrifices are necessary to rule yourself and gain your freedom.
I really hope you choose the latter.
As somebody who was NOT free for many years, I can unequivocally tell you that whatever sacrifices you have to make to gain your freedom will be worth it.
I hope you have a happy Independence Day today… and I pray for blessings for you and your loved ones.

Sometimes I envy you. You discovered this direct response stuff so young, you didn't have to tolerate a crappy dead end job for years like many of us. It took me 4 years for resideny and another 5 years for citizenship. About the same as the USA.
And we have more freedom here and better health care!
