Doberman Dan's Teleseminar Replay

10 June 2009 Posted by: Doberman Dan (27 comments)

Dear Friend,

If you weren't on my first DD teleseminar last night you missed a good one.

In addition to sharing my 14+ years of direct response experience, I shared the most important thing I've ever learned for financial success and personal happiness.

AND… I gave away a free copy of a book I co-authored with Dr. Wayne Dyer and Brian Tracy to everybody who made the call.

I revealed all my hard-core, from-the-trenches secrets that NOBODY in direct response is revealing nowadays.

I hope you had a good excuse because you REALLY missed it.

OK, OK… don't get your Underoos in a bind. I knew you were probably going to choose the latest episode of the Half Naked Bumbling Bimbos reality show over my teleseminar… so I recorded it.

But I'm putting a condition on this:

IMMEDIATELY after listening to the replay, please post a comment below and tell me the most important thing you got from the teleseminar.

It's as easy as that.

Check out the replay below.

You can also get the transcription here.

All the best,

Authentic info, encouraging to just start with practical (not always easy) ways to acquire skills and ideas for products or services.

I don't have an Apple so the replay doesn't work.

I missed the first half hour, but the rest was great. Worth listening to!

The best part was the don't give up speech. I really needed to hear that.

Hey Dan old buddy what's up man? Great pep talk at the end of your teleseminar… Vince Lombardi and Lou Holtz would be proud of ya. Keep up the good work. Josh says hi to Donner.

2nd comment. I entered my 1st comment just before the rousing speech. Again, authentic. Highly motivating – get beyond the suffering and just keep going. Between you and the philosopher, extremely well said. Thanks!

  • Nick said:

    Thank you Dan.

Great insight and rings so true with my core beliefs about not quitting.

    Thanks again,
    Nick

    Dan,
Your last bullet was off the hook! I’m glad to know that I can become a warrior, I recorded the call and I’m going to make sure I listen at least once a week to remind myself to keep at it…

If this was your first call- The Value was massive… Thank you Sir!

    Angel.

    Hi Dan,

1st time I've heard you. Thanks for sharing what you, Gary and Glenn had to go through.

I felt your passion – and I hear your message.

Every so often we need to hear those words so we can keep getting up.

And no matter what, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER give up.

Because if at first we don't succeed, then there must be something we're missing. All we have to do is find what we don't know and make the right tweaks.

I'm a WARRIOR in training – and my actions will speak louder than my words.

    I salute you!

Dan, everything you said was full of honesty and experience. Any new marketers who are lucky enough to find and listen to your audio are going to find themselves blessed with high-value advice saving them a lot of wasted time and money. Thank you for sharing your time and talents so generously.

Dan, it took me three days to listen to the entire recording of the teleseminar … because I kept stopping and taking notes. But I also kept coming back … because each segment was packed with useful insight. This morning I listened to the final (and most impacting) part … and I'm glad I returned for it. That warrior you speak of lies dormant in so many, and when the "hidden inside" gets revealed on the outside through committed action … well, the whole game changes. Thanks for speaking with conviction, and awakening that conviction in me once again. You rock!

  • Darrel Hawes said:

    Dan,

Definitely the most valuable piece was the "pep talk" at the end. Thank you for sharing from your personal experience.

And mucho thanks for the kick in the keister!

  • Rainer Fischer said:

    Hey Dan,

You should be a little more passionate about your business… lol

Seriously though, there were a LOT of good bullet points on your call, especially the one about writing daily articles and visiting the bookstores.

Your last advice about being a warrior rings very strongly with me, as I'm sure it does with some others out there. As a matter of fact, I registered domains a while back with "warrior" in the name. However still looking for that missing piece that others are not providing in their products.

In the meantime, it's tough when you've got to listen to the comments from others, especially your loved ones who keep waiting & waiting but don't see the results yet. They don't have the warrior mentality but hopefully they will eventually see how it works.

    Thanks for the teleseminar.

    Rainer

The most valuable info was how you find the starving market.

  • Anita said:

Best point I got from seminar: farm out stuff you can get others to do for you (stuffing envelopes, printing, customer svc, etc.); How to make yourself invisible by J.J Luna; generate your own list

Makes great sense, it's the same advice I have given to others over & over in the past! Thank you for your honesty. I've been a copywriter for many years, but have been out of the work force for a long time– now I am returning, with a completed marketing manuscript I want to publish & market on the internet, and it's a brand new world out there!

  • Anita said:

Dan, I am sorry, I hit "submit" too soon (again), your most valuable insight were your concluding comments about never giving up–no matter how many times you have to turn the other cheek, or how often you find yourself down and out, if you do not get up again and climb back on that horse and get back in the race you will not have a chance to cross the finish line in the end. Well done, my friend.

    Hi Dan,
Thanks for a very informative teleseminar. Yup, it really IS 11:25 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, and your persuasive invitation to listen to your recorded seminar TODAY really worked, as my late-night listening proves. Best things I learned: The easiest sale to make is to a current or prior customer; Visit bookstores to soak up exposure to great marketing/persuasion (book titles); choose a niche (instead of trying to be all things to all people…). Thanks again and best wishes for continued success!

  • jeff biagetti said:

well dan, alot of things came out of your mouth!

  • Vivian said:

The audio was so informative, it's hard to choose a specific thing to share. However, your straightfoward honesty is what I appreciate the most.

    Dan,

Just finished listening to your teleseminar. Great info!! I am so grateful for the "Warrior" talk. I really needed that!! I can tell how passionate you are about it and I am sooo looking forward to the book by you, Dr. Dyer who I love and Brian Tracy.

  • John Thomas said:

    Dan,

Awesome teleseminar. The best part, IMO? The get off your butt and be a warrior speech!

    Thanks, man.

One item of business and then I'll comment about YOUR comments.

I REALLY regret something about the teleseminar…

Near the end when I was getting quite passionate about the warrior topic… I dropped the "F-bomb".

Oops! Sorry about that. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I've been kicking myself about it ever since.

I was really hoping that maybe one day when they're ready, my niece and nephews would listen to that message. I really don't want them to hear Uncle D.D. dropping the "F-bomb".

But it's done now and a part of history… so I'll just say… "the devil made me do it."

    Onward.

I really appreciate all of you taking the time to post your comments.

It's good to see some friends on here, too.

Wendy… try the replay again. I changed it from a Quicktime file to a Windows Media file. That should work for you.

Mark Nolan is a great direct response marketer and is a hero of mine. I was a faithful subscriber to his print newsletter back in the 90's. It was always filled with great project ideas each month. A real inspiration to me. I guess that rascal made so much money he retired from teaching marketing and now focuses on enjoying life. Good on ya, Mark!

Stan… thanks for both your comments. I'm glad you listened to the whole call and got the part at the end.

Nick… You've already got the core belief of not quitting. As long as you continue to put it into practice, (and I know you will) you're a fellow warrior.

Dan… what can I say? You can always trust a guy named Dan, can't you? Thanks for your comment.

Angel… it sounds like you're a warrior in training. See you very soon at the victory feast. (I'm starting to enjoy all these warrior analogies!)

Ade… good to have you here. I can tell you definitely "got it." Cool website, too.

Marya… thank you for your heartfelt comments. It was my pleasure.

Jeff Brown… the warrior was already inside you. I may have provided a bit of a spark but you brought it to life yourself. YOU rock, my friend.

Darrel Hawes… I LIKE kicking people in the keister! lol Thanks for being open minded enough to let me do a little kicking. We ALL need that every now and then.

Rainer… it's nice to see you again. Boy, oh boy… can I relate to your comment, "it’s tough when you’ve got to listen to the comments from others, especially your loved ones who keep waiting & waiting but don’t see the results yet."

It sucks when loved ones don't have the spirit and vision of a warrior. You just gotta keep moving forward and hope they don't hold you back too much.

All my co-workers laughed at me when I started my business. And my own mother told me I better stay at my dead-end civil service job because that was the best somebody of our "class" could do.

    Ain't nobody laughing now!

You ever hear the story of the crabs in the bucket?

Put one crab in a bucket and it immediately crawls out. Put a bunch of crabs in a bucket and every time one tries to crawl out, the others pull him back in.

I hate to say this but I'm a straight shooter and I gotta tell it like it is…

In most cases, your family and friends are the crabs in the bucket. They're going to do everything they can to make sure you can't get out of there. Because if you DO… your success will be a silent accusation that THEY could do it, too… but don't have the balls. It's so much easier for them to drag you back in the bucket instead of "man up" and improve their lot in life, too.

In spite of them, be the warrior, dude. We've spoken several times and I'm a pretty good judge of character. You're already a warrior. Your actions prove it. It's just that you're still in the midst of the battle. But don't worry… your victory feast is coming.

Whew! I kinda went off on a tangent, didn't I?

Mike… Glad you liked the starving market stuff. If you liked that, I've got a BIG surprise for you. I'll be posting it on the blog soon.

Anita… Sounds like you got some good tidbits. Send me your marketing manual when it's ready. I'd love to read it.

Kristie… One of the things you learned, "The easiest sale to make is to a current or prior customer" can make you a FORTUNE. Took me years in the direct response biz before that sunk in. I'm glad you got it early.

Jeff Biagetti… I'll quote one of my favorite lines from an Ahhhnold movie: "You're a funny guy. That's why I'll kill you last." (Jeff's an old friend from Barberton, Ohio. His comment is an inside joke you probably wouldn't find funny… but still makes me laugh out loud.)

Vivian… Thank you. I've been accused of being TOO honest by some.

Frank… Thanks for listening. Glad you liked it.

Tammy… Glad you liked the warrior talk. If you signed up on the form while it was still up, then your book is already on the way. If you liked the warrior talk, you'll also like my chapter in the book.

John Thomas… thanks, dude. I wanted so badly for people to "get" the warrior message, I was really nervous. I was actually pacing the floor and sweating during that part.

See, I felt like I was entrusted with a precious gift that HAD to be shared with those who were ready for it. And I needed to do everything in my power to make people understand it.

Not sure if you could hear it but I had to stop a couple times when I was talking about my friend, Glenn. Doberman Dan doesn't cry… but my eyeballs started to sweat a couple times when I was telling Glenn's story. :)

Anyhoo… thank you all for listening to the teleseminar and posting your comments.

    See you soon.

    Dan,
Thanks for giving me some wind back in my sails. I have been feelin like a dog that's been kicked too much, you start to feel like nothing works and just try to keep your head out of the line of fire. Your talk on being a warrior and just keep on keeping on was exactly what I needed to hear. I now am escaping the bucket of crabs forever. Now if i can get out of this extended stay and get my own place again as my kids are counting on me! THANK YOU!!!

  • Caleb Osborne said:

    Hahaha!

"My Eyeballs started to sweat" — that's hilarious.

Yeah, and I don't get all passionate and pumped up when guys like D.D. talk about not quitting :)

    Great Call Dan!
