How to get FREE 1-on-1 phone consultations with Doberman Dan.

Dear Friend,

A couple days ago I announced some highly valuable opportunities subscribers to The Doberman Dan Letter are getting very soon.

Patricia in customer support has been deluged with questions. She is answering the ones she can and passing off a few to me.

Here's one Patricia answered I thought you might want to see:

Question: "I was wondering if you subscribe to The Doberman Dan Letter, do you get access to previous issues? Will they be in ebook format or will he post them via snail mail including Dan's recent issue? When did Dan start his offline newsletter? "

Answer: As an unannounced bonus when you subscribe before August 31, Dan is including all the back issues since he started publishing in January 2011. They will be sent in hard copy in a big red, white and blue Priority Mail package with all your bonuses.

Good job, Patricia! I'll make a copywriter out of her yet.

BTW, English is Patricia's SECOND language… so occasionally I have to help her decipher some slang, weird sayings or whatever. But if you've corresponded with her I bet you had no idea English was not her 1st language, right?

Here's a little secret:

If you were at my seminar in Orlando the end of last year, you saw her in person there. And believe me… ALL the men noticed her. (My very perceptive subscribers will be able to figure out who she is… even though they didn't meet her as "Patricia." That's her middle name and customer service "nom de plume.")

Anyhoo, here's a question Patricia passed along to me yesterday…

Question: "Hi Dan, I gotta tell you, I've been putting off getting your newsletter. Specifically because I'm at a point in my life where I have a 40-hour-a-week job, a 20-hour-a-week freelance copywriting practice, and two little kids still in diapers. Plus a wife who needs love and attention.

However, I do know I need to get off my duff and launch my own products…you've sold me on this message. I know it's my ticket to quitting the job and getting myself 100% self-sufficient financially…as well as positioning me as a go-to guy for DR copywriting.

So I'm sitting here wondering if it's worth me getting your newsletter, just to get my hands on some of those '95% complete projects' you talked about…the 'Doberman Dan Approved' projects and businesses you mention in the PS of your recent post.

But I'm worried I'll get your newsletter (which I know to be excellent) and do NOTHING with the information. I've got a habit of doing this with information products.

I know you are a busy man. And I know I'm not (yet) a paying customer. But can you tell me a just a LITTLE more about these projects? Just a hint more about the kind of projects, what kind of markets, what you would provide and how you would hand them off to a subscriber?

I understand if this isn't possible…but we both know I'm a buyer and just need a little more justification (hand-holding) to make a decision."

My Answer: Thanks for your message. This part caught my interest:

"But I'm worried I'll get your newsletter (which I know to be excellent) and do NOTHING with the information. I've got a habit of doing this with information products."

That is a very common problem… so don't beat yourself up about it.

In fact, a large part of the August issue was devoted to that problem.

And I revealed the root cause of this problem on the August subscribers teleconference. (Something almost EVERYBODY gets wrong… even "expert" psychiatrists and psychologists.)

AND… in the September issue going out soon, the solution I presented on the August subscribers teleconference is backed up with positive proof from the field of neuroscience.

Quite honestly, I've never seen ANYBODY present the REAL root cause of this problem… and it's cure… and I've been study psychology, motivation and self help for 25 years.

So I'm not B.S.'ing you when I say… the solution to this problem (and many others) is in The Doberman Dan Letter.

Honestly, it ain't that difficult once you understand the REAL cause. Problem is, everybody has been wrong about the real cause of this problem. They've diagnosed the SECONDARY problem/symptom correctly… but not the underlying root cause.

Go ahead and subscribe. NOBODY else is revealing the stuff I am… because everybody else who COULD is dead.

A caveat:

Admittedly, my opinion is biased because I personally created the whole kit and kaboodle.

But look at the testimonials. Those people are not biased… and they aren't lying either.

In my most humble (but accurate) opinion subscribing to my newsletter just may the most important thing you've ever done.

I'm going to look forward to welcoming you into my little "Marketing Camelot." You belong with us.

You've got more potential and talent than you can possibly realize… and I'm not going to let you take yourself for granted any more.

All the best,
Dan

P.S. Forgive me if I sound like a pushy salesman. I'm just REALLY passionate about my newsletter because people's lives are changing… and we're having tons of "A-HA" moments.

So, yes, I'm pretty passionate. But please don't mistake that for pressure. (I HATE it when I'm pressured by people. I don't ever want to do that to you.)

This gentleman had a valid concern. (He did subscribe, by the way.) No amount of "how to" information, no matter how valuable it is, will do you one bit of good if it's not implemented.

That's why I've been searching high and low for the solution to this lack of action/self sabotage problem for over two decades… and have FINALLY nailed it.

Now some BAD news…

As an extra bonus to your subscription to The Doberman Dan Letter, I have been offering FREE 1-on-1 phone consultations with me. (The people who have used them have had some pretty significant breakthroughs.)

You'll notice that the part about the 1-on-1 phone consultations is no longer in the sales letter. The only thing mentioned is our monthly group teleconferences.

I gave my word to my present subscribers that I would offer these 1-on-1 phone consultations… and they'll continue to have access to me, just like I promised.

(There IS one condition… you have to be taking action on something and have some kind of results to show me. I won't invest my time with people who aren't "doers.")

But I deleted the 1-on-1 phone consultations bonus from the current sales letter. Now that the subscriber base is growing… and there's only one of lil' ole moi'… I simply can't handle the increased demand on my time with all the other projects I'm juggling.

So the BAD news is… subscribers who come on AFTER September 1 will no longer have the option of 1-on-1 phone consultations with me as a free extra bonus.

But the GOOD news…

Subscribe before midnight August 31…
You'll be "grandfathered in"
and you'll have ONGOING access
to 1-on-1 phone consultations with me!

Before I stopped offering it, my consulting rate was $2,000.00/hour.

Get in my "Marketing Camelot" now (that's what I call the cool "extended family" and "esprit de corps" vibe we have) before August 31… use your 30-minute 1-on-1 consultation bonus with me just once a month… and…

That's equal to $12,000.00 of consulting every year!

You get all that…

…Plus my monthly newsletter…

…Frequent extra unannounced bonus videos and audios…

…Our monthly teleconferences with open Q&A…

…First dibs on working with me on DD-approved projects…

…DEEP discounts on any seminars I put on and products I release…

…First shot at any copywriting jobs that cross my desk…

…AND first shot at writing copy for several of my personal projects…

For the ridiculously low investment of only $1.66 a day!

There’s simply NO excuse whatsoever for not getting in on this. It’s within EVERYBODY’S budget.

Click here now to get in on this "no-brainer" offer now before August 31 at midnight.

Who are the best marketers, best courses, newsletters and books to study to become a successful marketer as quickly as possible?

The answer may surprise you...

Sunday, 11:20 AM

Dear Friend,

I have to admit…

It has amused me to watch all these little 20-something kids gain their fame as online marketing gurus during the earlier part of this decade.

Never mind that up until about 2008, we've enjoyed such a strong credit-fueled economy that a monkey with a web browser and Paypal account could have made money.

But where are all the IM wonder boys now?

Hell, I know guys still curled up in a fetal position crying and sucking their thumbs because they got "Google slapped" a couple years ago.

They've never financially recovered.

But even worse.

Actually MUCH worse…

They've Never PSYCHOLOGICALLY Recovered!

Instead, they let one little minor challenge stop them dead in their tracks… and their only reaction was to roll over, piss all over themselves and cry out to God about the injustice in the world. (BTW, God ain't listening. He already warned you stuff like this happens… and he gave you the brains, skills and ability to handle it yourself.)

And there they've remained ever since. Not able to overcome that tiny little hurdle thrown up in front of them.

First of all, "Google slap" was a freight train we direct response veterans saw coming down the tracks YEARS before it happened. And a few of us TRIED to warn you.

Problem was, you were listening to the IM wonder boys… the 20-something crowd who claimed to have the insider track on all this "new" stuff that worked online.

And for the longest time it seemed as if things were humming along perfectly for the young wonder boy crowd… the money coming in faster than they could count it, the sun always shining, the birds always singing… and the wind always at their back.

But then the challenges and changes came.

And many of those IM wonder boys have disappeared… and have never been able to overcome the various challenges like "Google slap" and all the other adjustments in the marketplace that stopped them dead in their tracks.

Yup, there's a BIG reason most have not overcome these various challenges.

Actually TWO reasons:

The Lack Of Those Two Organs
They're SUPPOSED To Have
Between Their Legs!

Or for the ladies… a lack of intestinal fortitude.

BTW, funny thing I've noticed. This "lack of balls" problem so prevalent in the younger generation only seems to be a problem with the MALES. For whatever reason, the women have their act MUCH more together in that department.

In fact, my wife, being from Colombia, has done things that would leave 99% of the guys I know cowering in a corner, paralyzed with fear.

I've noticed something about a lot of my fellow Americans… especially the ones who grew up in the same socio-economic class as me. (I believe the technical term for it is "white trash.")

They get pissed off and jealous when they see an immigrant with a successful business. But there's a reason a large percentage of immigrants have successful businesses… and there's also a reason a large percentage of American (it's now in the TENS of MILLIONS) are worthless looting losers, sucking at the public teat.

You see, most Americans can't even begin to imagine the fear you experience when living in a country where you don't speak the language and don't understand the culture. (Hell, less than 5% of Americans even have a PASSPORT… and 90% have never been any further than 10 miles from where they grew up.)

Now, try imagining building a business with this language barrier fear and the overwhelming "heart in your throat" fear caused by culture shock. (It is VERY real. I've personally experienced it… several times in a couple different countries.)

But the Colombiana, instead of using that MAJOR challenge and overwhelming fear as an excuse, forged forward in spite of the crippling fear and did whatever it took to build a successful business in this strange, foreign land.

Let me tell you… SHE should be the one doing seminars. NOT some punk ass 20-something kid from a wealthy family, whose Ivy League education was paid for by daddy… who then, working with BOTH a safety cable AND safety net built a successful online business selling "make money on the Internet" products during one of the most prosperous periods in the history of the world.

That Is NOT The Guy To Learn From!

BTW, do you know what I mean when I say, "working with BOTH a safety cable AND safety net?"

When a rookie is learning a high wire routine, he has both a strong safety cable attached to the high wire and a strong leather belt around his waist. He also has a safety net at the bottom to safely catch him if he falls.

With all that, it's pretty damn hard to fall… and you can have all the confidence in the world because if you DO fall it's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to get hurt.

Compare the rookie to the guy who has been working on the high wire for DECADES without any kind of safety cable or safety net. If he goes down, it's game over for him.

THAT has been my entrepreneurial career since 1996… ZERO safety net.

When the shit hits the fan (and it has… many times) there are no rich relatives to bail me out.

There's no pension fund, disability, social security or ANY government sponsored social programs or bail outs for me.

MY bail out plan… the ONLY one I've got… is what's between my ears. And even more importantly… what's between my legs.

And I have been "tested by fire"… time and time again.

You see, I know how it feels to lose EVERYTHING… forced to live in my car (a 12 year old Ford Taurus with no air conditioning).

And I know how it feels to sit down at the public library computer, (because I no longer had one), scared to death, writing a sales letter that HAD to work… or Donner and I literally weren't going to eat that week.

Yes, my entrepreneurial path has had its ups and downs. And at times, they have been EXTREME.

I know what it's like to go from being broke and living in my car… to making 6-figures a MONTH…

All In The Same Year!

(That's how extreme these entrepreneurial "ups and downs" can be.)

And if stuff like that had only happened to me once, I'd probably chalk it up to chance or luck or something.

But these extreme ups and downs have happened to me over and over again… for almost two decades.

(Hell, they're happening right now!)

But no matter how hard I get knocked down, I just keep getting up again.

And as hard as it has been to get up time after time… each time I DO get up, I'm stronger than ever.

I'll get to the point of my little rant:

I recently re-read all of Gary Halbert's old newsletters. (The ones I have in hard copy when it was a PAID subscription. Not the free ones posted online.)

I also re-read all of Ted Nicholas' old hard copy newsletters from the early 90's.

Same thing with all the old Thomas Hall materials, some very rare books and materials I have from Gene Schwartz…

…Every single issue of The Marketing Rebel Rant by John Carlton (back when it was a paid newsletter, delivered in hard copy)… and all my current and old Dan Kennedy newsletters.

Here's why all that stuff is timeless and invaluable… and always will be. And all the $2,000+ crap produced by the "has been" IM gurus is now nothing more than a fart in the wind.

It comes down to three things:

Character, Experience and Guts!

The guy I want to learn from, is the guy who has been tested by fire. The guy knocked down time after time but just kept getting up and moving forward.

The guy who, once, when hit so hard and knocked down so bad…kept moving the only way possible. Inching forward little by little on his belly until he could regain the strength to crawl forward on his hands and knees.

And instead of giving up and staying down… even though it took MONTHS… he got back on his feet and kept moving forward.

The guy who has had the guts to work the high wire without a safety net… decade after decade.

Who, when successful, is cheered by a small group of followers who truly appreciate what it means to be a "man's man"… and how scary and difficult it is to put yourself out there time after time on the high wire without a safety net.

And who, when falls without the security of a safety net, is the subject of sneers, laughter and criticism from all those timid souls who live their lives in fear and quiet desperation, never even ATTEMPTING anything significant.

The pathetic souls who, with their criticism, attempt to justify their lack of accomplishment… and in some sick pathetic way, try to make themselves feel better about their cowardice.

Because, you see, they've chosen to let their fears paralyze them from attempting to do something… anything… with their God-given potential… and instead, they allow themselves to be a slave to their cowardice.

So they secretly hope for the strong man to fall so they can criticize him… and in so doing, in their sick, twisted minds, somehow make themselves temporarily feel better about their lack of integrity and the choice to be a slave to cowardice.

The men of character, experience and guts are the ones I want to learn from… and that's why I continue to read the classic direct response and mail order material over and over again, month after month… year after year.

And that's why I laugh at the arrogant 20-something pricks who claim to be an "online marketing/copywriting expert" because they took a 6-week course.

Who arrogantly tell me…

"I don't need to read all that old stuff about writing sales letters, mail order and direct marketing. That's just the basics. I already know all that."

Well, I've got some unnerving news for you, my pretentious, presumptuous, pompous pal. (Can you tell I like alliteration?)

Your big "fall" is coming… and it ain't gonna be pretty.

In fact, I'd bet 10,000 to 1 you ain't ever getting up.

Ya know why?

Because you may THINK knowing the mechanics is all you need… but what REALLY determines your success is…

Character, Experience and Guts!

And you get THAT by studying success lessons from… and associating with… men of character, experience and guts.

You see… you may THINK you're just spending money on a newsletter or a book by a successful person.

But it's MUCH more than that.

You're making an investment in yourself that can NEVER be taken away. You're ABSORBING and permanently imprinting in your neural pathways the DECADES of character-building and hard-won experience of the author.

You're assimilating the benefits of his character, experience and guts… the stuff required for real LONG-TERM success.

Oh sure, you've bought all the latest courses about online marketing… created by folks working the high wire with the safety cable and safety net.

The "magic bullet" online marketing course created by the kid without any real-world experience… and whose character has never been really tested… the guy who has always worked with a safety net.

Sure, that guy can teach you a quick hit "one shot" money-making trick…

But to learn how to be successful in the long term, you need to learn from the MASTERS.

The men of character and experience, tested by fire time and time again. Who experienced the great successes… AND the humiliation of the great failures.

Who got knocked down time and time again… and instead of using it as an excuse to quit, took their "beating" as a learning experience and used it as a stepping stone to greater success.

THOSE are the men and women to study.

They are as rare as hen's teeth.

Many are dead… but you can still study them and "associate" with them through the writings they left us.

The ones still alive?

Even more rare.

But they're out there.

And trust me… they're DESPERATELY seeking someone REAL to share their knowledge and experience with.

Honest, ethical people who TRULY desire to learn these lessons. And more importantly, will value these lessons and put them into ACTION.

All the best,

Dear Friend,

I didn't want to admit it… but it's in my genes.

Everybody on one side of my family was an alcoholic.

And that always scared me because they say addiction/alcoholism is hereditary.

I thought I got lucky and that gene bypassed me… but I was wrong.

Allow me to elaborate:

I've been an entrepreneur for so long now I don't even really understand how the "sheeple" live.

Sometimes when I'm totally absorbed in a new project, working for hours and days almost non-stop, I often ask myself, "I wonder what the 'normal' people are doing right now?"

Seriously.

I just don't get the mindset that says, "It's 5:00 PM. Wo hoo! Quitting time."

I don't get it because…

I NEVER stop working!

I always have my antennae up looking for opportunities. I simply CAN'T shut it off.

I'm constantly thinking about…

… My own businesses…

… New markets and niches…

… New project and product ideas…

… The very small number of carefully hand-selected clients I occasionally work with…

… My Inner Circle members…

… My Marketing Junkies members…

… And more recently, the people who have invested in my Kitchen Table Business program.

For example…

I'm really excited about some new things I'm working on for 2011… so I've been working a lot recently.

More than I care to, actually.

Some days it's been 7:00 AM until 12:00 midnight… with 30 minutes cut out of those 17-hour days for guitar practice… and a few other 30-minute segments for meals, reading, etc.

Like I said, it's a lot more than I usually work… but I'm really excited about what I'm doing.

And quite frankly, I've been a little fatigued lately… and some days in a LOT of pain. (Those old bodybuilding injuries are catching up to me.)

So this weekend was supposed to be my "veg out and do nothing" time.

But I simply can't shut off my mind. I'm constantly thinking of ways to help you make more money and enjoy a better life.

Here's what I've done so far today on my "relax and get away from work" weekend:

Chiqui Rikki (the Shih-tzu) woke me up at 6:30 AM. (Donner the Doberman likes to sleep late, like me… but Chiqui won't let us.)

So at "0-dark:30" AM I had to get out of bed and let Chiqui outside. After that I went back to bed and read a little while.

Guess what I read…

Marketing & Copywriting Stuff!

And that led to an idea about how to generate a big chunk of cash really quickly. So I sat done in front of the machine I said I was going to stay far, far away from this weekend… and started writing copy for my new idea.

The research for this new project idea led me to another idea that could help one of my KTB clients make a LOT of money. So I made a copy of that highly valuable info/swipe file and e-mailed it off to him.

After that I wrote out some hand written letters on monarch stationary (like I described here) to a few business contacts and DD.com customers.

Then it was back to work on my recently inspired copy for this new "big bucks" project.

I did a "brain dump" and quickly wrote out all the hot moneymaking ideas swirling around my head.

As I was extracting the very last "gold nugget"…a breakthrough idea for one of my new Inner Circle members popped into my spongy gray matter.

So I opened another new "brain dump" document and started excitedly tapping away at the keyboard, mining some more marketing gems from my noggin. (Just ONE of these gems is going to make my new Inner Circle member a small fortune.)

All the while, the Colombiana has been waiting for over three hours for me to go Christmas shopping with her… but I simply can NOT stop.

I'm telling ya…

It's An Addiction!

I'm a true marketing junkie.

The Colombiana is used to it… and amazingly tolerant of it MOST of the time. (I guess she enjoys the benefits.)

But I have to be honest with you… I really do need a break from this addiction.

I've even tried using chemical substances to relax and slow down the thoughts and ideas constantly spinning around in my mind. My chemical substance of choice is a tonic known as a "Long Island Ice Tea."

Powerful stuff.

It has been known to knock lesser mortals on their big ole booties… but all it ever does for me is…

Generate MORE ideas
swirling around in my melon!

So I have a dilemma, albeit a GOOD dilemma.

I simply don't know how to turn off the entrepreneurial/moneymaking thoughts.

And here I am AGAIN… in front of the computer composing this message for YOU… while the Colombiana stands behind me, hands on hips, waiting for me to go Christmas shopping.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I really like what I do.

I mean, when I say I "worked" a 17-hour day it doesn't even feel like work to me. It's more like 17 hours of excitement and new discoveries.

But let's be honest…

There comes a time when you simply HAVE to rest, relax, recharge your batteries… and truly get away from it.

Frankly, I've never done a very good job of that.

So I need to ask you for a favor.

If you have any tips, tricks or secrets to help an entrepreneur rest and relax… and get his mind away from constantly thinking about new ideas and projects… I'm all ears.

Please take a couple minutes and share them in the comments box below.

Even though my mind is racing with breakthrough ideas on my "day off"… and I could spend at least another 4 hours typing away… I'm off to fight the crowds and do some Christmas shopping.

When I get back, I can't wait to hear any ideas you have to help me relax and put the Doberman Dan "idea machine" in neutral for a few days.

I could really use the rest.

All the best,

P.S. If you've ever considered applying for membership in my Inner Circle… you better do it soon. On January 1st, the monthly membership is going to DOUBLE. Get in now and you'll be locked in for life at the lower price.

P.P.S. I honestly don't know if I'll be doing another post before Christmas. In case I don't, let me take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus… or whatever holiday you happen to celebrate.

Hey, here's an idea for ya:

Like my friend, Markus Allen says… why don't you treat yourself and your family well EVERY day… instead of using some holiday as an excuse to do it only once or twice a year.

I think that makes a lot more sense.

Thursday, 3:42 PM

Dear Friend,

Today I'm putting "motion beats meditation" into full effect.

You see, I've been running my mouth about an idea for almost a year, waiting for the stars to line up and other worthless excuses… but I ain't waiting no mo'!

Here's what I've got up my sleeve:

If there are enough people willing to come, I'm going to start hosting some meetings in sunny Florida.

These meetings will be a combination mini-seminar/mastermind, probably running 2 to 3 hours or so.

They're going to be pretty informal little get-togethers.

And if possible, I'd like to keep them small so everybody can get some personal attention. I don't just want to run my mouth… I sincerely would like to get to know you.

I know, I know… you're already wondering what it's going to cost.

Here's what it's gonna cost:

Nuttin'… Zero… Nada…
A big fat goose egg!

I can read your mind. Your B.S. detector is kicking in.

No, it's not gonna be a pitch fest, either.

Geez, you've let the IMGOBC turn you into a real cynic, haven't you?

Anyhoo… here's what these meetings are all about:

It's going to be little old me sharing marketing secrets with you… and personally helping you with your marketing challenges.

I might also invite a handful of experts I personally work with and endorse to help me out and bring more value to the meetings… but I will NOT allow this to turn into a pitch fest.

I hate that crap as much as you do. If you've ever fallen victim to it, you know what I'm talking about.

Since I'm paying for the expenses of these initial meetings out of my own pocket, I'll probably leave a jar discreetly at the back of the room in case you might want to drop in a fiver to help cover the room rental. There's no obligation, though, and there will be no pressure to do that.

I'm dead serious when I say this will NOT be a pitch fest, it's totally free and there is NO obligation to even drop anything in the "help cover the room expenses" jar.

Now your B.S. detector is REALLY kicking in. (Told you I could read your mind!)

"So what's the catch, DD?"

No catch.

Here are the "cross my heart", honest to goodness reasons I'm moving forward with this:

1. This "Doberman Dan" gig is my legacy to free enterprise and all the people with the balls to rise above the crowd and become an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, it appears there will be no little Doberman Danny or Daniella in my future… and my nieces and nephews don't seem to be interested in this stuff… but I really want to pass my legacy on to SOMEBODY.

2. I'm doing my best to keep my mentor, Gary Halbert's, legacy alive. I've talked with Bond Halbert (Gary's son) about this and we both believe this is something Gary would want.

3. There are a LOT of entrepreneurs, copywriters, freelancers and brick & mortar business owners struggling in this economy. Unfortunately, if they don't make some changes, many are going to be broke and out of business over the next few years. I plan on doing everything I can to prevent that from happening. Our economy needs their success more than ever… and I don't want ANYBODY to have to go through what I did to discover the secrets to marketing success.

4. Down the road, if I decide to keep this up, there MAY be a small monthly fee to cover the expenses…but I promise it will be very reasonable.

That's it.

You can turn off your B.S. detector now.

Even though these initial meetings will be free, I guarantee they'll be EXTREMELY high value… probably even more so than most of the $2,000+ seminars promoted by the IMGOBC.

For convenience… my OWN convenience… I would like to test the waters with a meeting in Orlando, Florida.

If you're close to Orlando… or even if you're not close but are willing to travel there… I need to hear from you ASAP.

Feel free to e-mail me or post a comment below if you'd like to attend my first meeting in Orlando.

Tuesday, 9:42 AM

Dear Friend,

I spoke with two really smart online marketers last week.

These guys are exceptionally good at what they do. I consider them my "go to" guys for anything internet marketing related… the few guys I trust to give me the most successful stuff that is working best right NOW online.

And both are completely clueless about direct mail.

They both tried it for themselves or clients and claimed it didn't work for them.

Interesting… because I know several people in the exact same niches who have made (and are making) MILLIONS with direct mail.

So why can't two highly intelligent and successful online marketers make direct work?

That's simple…

They did EVERYTHING wrong!

You may THINK you can simply apply what you're doing online to direct mail and make it work… but you're going to learn a very expensive lesson.

How do I know?

Well, first of all, direct mail is how I started way back in the pre-Internet days.

And believe you me… I've made ALL the mistakes.

By the way… it still amuses me all the people who claim they want an "Internet business" because of the lifestyle it can offer them.

I had that kind of lifestyle while most of the current IM gurus were still in diapers… all done with direct mail and space ads! Nobody had even heard of the Internet back then.

The Internet is not a business… it's just another form of media we direct marketers use. We are actually "direct response marketers"… NOT Internet Marketers. The Internet is just the media used.

Geez, that's a pet peeve of mine!

Don't get me wrong… it's a great media… but it's just brain-dead STUPID to ignore other media that could be equally successful.

Did the introduction of radio kill off newspapers and magazines?

Did the introduction of TV kill off radio?

Has the Internet killed off radio and TV like many "experts" predicted?

No! They're going as strong as ever!

And all those people who predicted the death of direct mail with the advent of e-mail look like mouth-breathing morons right now.

A new media almost never kills off an old one.

But here's what DOES happen with the advent of a new media…

A few forward thinking people jump on it and make a fortune while it is still new.

When word of that success gets out, thousands of other marketers jump on the band wagon… and that starts slowly killing off the golden goose.

Then the looters get involved… the government and worthless bureaucrats who couldn't make it in the real world if their lives depended on it… and they start regulating it out of existence. (Can you say broadcast fax?)

The Internet has been in stage 2 for quite a while now.

Stage 3 has already started… and it's only going to get worse. We've got over 100 years of history to back me up on that.

(We've also got 100+ years of history showing that "God-fearing, freedom-loving" Americans are going to react to Stage 3 just like they have reacted to the abrogation of all their other civil rights… sitting on their collective asses, cowering in fear and doing NOTHING. But that's a story for another time.)

Wanna know the only existing media that has NOT been squeezed to death by Stage 3?

Good old fashioned snail mail!

Actually, thanks to all the clueless marketers only focusing on the Internet, it's better than ever.

For all those underprivileged young'uns who have have grown up in the Internet age, direct mail is like an email… but it's printed on a piece of paper, folded, inserted in an envelope, addressed with an actual postal address, a stamp stuck on it and relegated to the United States Postal Service for delivery to the recipient at an actual home or business.

Frickin' brilliant, isn't it?

Why is that better than e-mail?

Well, for a lot of reasons…

Just look at the declining open rates of e-mail over the past 3 years… and consequently declining sales.

In one of my businesses we are down to getting 10% of the sales from e-mail than we used to get just three years ago… and our e-mail list is FOUR times bigger now!

I've asked around and this is a pretty typical problem.

There are a lot of reasons for the declining response to e-mail but the biggest problem is that we're in Stage 2.

Here's something esle you may find interesting:

A key finding from an International Communications Research study is that despite today’s digital world and plethora of electronic media, consumers clearly prefer mail to all other communication vehicles, notably including e-mail… especially for receiving product and service offers.

73% prefer mail for receiving new product and service announcements, promotions, offers and other information from companies they do business with versus only 18% who prefer receiving the same content by e-mail.

For confidential information such as invoices, statements, bank statements, financial reports, the preference is 86% mail, only 10% e-mail.

70% prefer mail for receiving information from companies they are NOT currently doing business with. This makes new customer acquisition by all other means tough… and getting tougher.

Below 10% prefer e-mail for receiving information from companies they are NOT currently doing business with.

Only 31% of consumers say they frequently discard mail unopened identified as commercial in nature, but 53.2% say they frequently delete such e-mail unopened.

Now keep in mind this is a general population survey. My own informal survey of busy entrepreneurs suggests 80%+ routinely delete unopened e-mail versus under 40% for mail.

Pretty interesting, huh?

Would you like to know WHY consumers prefer snail mail?

Well, they asked them. And they said:

45.3% – less intrusive, doesn’t interrupt other activities.

40.2% – more convenient, can easily be saved and considered at choice of times.

30.2% – less high-pressured, lets me arrive at a decision intelligently.

22.7% – more descriptive, provides better information.

The bottom line is pretty obvious…

Your customers prefer receiving
your info via direct mail!

And with the MOUNTAINS of evidence proving it, here are the BIGGEST reasons only a drooling moron would rely exclusively on e-mail and online marketing for customer acquisition and back end sales…

First of all, USPS's deliverability issues are pretty much a thing of the past. (In fact, if you know the secrets, you can get damn near close to 100% deliverability with direct mail.)

But let's look at a WORST case direct mail scenario:

If 900 out of 1,000 pieces of direct mail arrive, less 31% discarded unopened, that’s 621 little salesmen with a chance at making a sale.

But if only 200 out of 1,000 e-mails get delivered (which is a pretty good delivery rate nowadays)… less 53% deleted (typical)… that’s only 94 with a shot at making a sale.

Which do you think has a better chance at bringing in more sales?

Look, I could literally speak for DAYS about the intelligent use of direct mail and the various ways you can harness its power to make a LOT of money.

Today I'm just trying to show you that NOT using it is hurting your bottom line… BIG time!

Speaking of me speaking for days about direct mail, I recently mailed (yes, with direct mail) an offer to an exclusive group of direct response marketers for a small coaching program I'm doing on direct mail.

Not only am I revealing many of my best secrets for making money with direct mail, I'm offering a lot of one-on-one attention. And because of that, the program is NOT cheap.

It's in the $2,400 to $3,000 range.

And honestly, I think it's under-priced. You could easily make back your investment (and more) within a just a few short weeks… unless you're suffering from a recent head injury.

A lot of people expressed interest in the program but the price tag was a little too high for them.

So I'm thinking about offering the exact same coaching program… without the personal attention and without also giving away the DVDs of the webinars (I'll post them on a password-protected site instead), CDs of the audio… and without the written transcripts… but at a MUCH lower price.

See, the personal attention is the most time-consuming part, hence the high price.

But without that component, I think I can get the price down to about $700.

If there's enough interest, I'm planning on doing this coaching program for six straight days in October some time.

If you would be sincerely interested in my direct mail coaching program, please let me know by entering your first name and e-mail in the box below.

That will opt you into a special list and you'll get all the info about this as soon as it's ready… probably in another week or so.

Thanks!

Here's the box to opt in:

Dear Friend,
I've had a couple lengthy conversations with Jim Yaghi this week.
The guy is frickin' brilliant!
He's a genius…
…Literally.
He has an IQ of 156. That's only 4 points lower than Einstein, don't ya know.
He doesn't feel a need to brag about it or plaster it all over his website and everything he publishes. The chest-beating, self aggrandizing thing isn't his style.
The only reason I know about his IQ is because of an ongoing inside joke we have in our mastermind group.

Sunday, 2:56 PM

Dear Friend,

I've had a couple lengthy conversations with Jim Yaghi this week.

The guy is frickin' brilliant!

He's a genius…

…Literally.

He has an IQ of 156. That's only 4 points lower than Einstein, don't ya know.

He doesn't feel a need to brag about it or plaster it all over his website and everything he publishes. The chest-beating, self aggrandizing thing isn't his style.

The only reason I know about his IQ is because of an ongoing inside joke we have in our mastermind group.

Jim is one of those "under the radar" experts. For several years now, I've conspired with several other marketers to keep him our little secret.

Yes, I'm being selfish. I don't want to share him.

You see, Jim has accomplished mini-miracles with PPC (pay per click).

Time and time again, he has done what most "experts" said was impossible… get affordable clicks and conversions in the most expensive, competitive and cut-throat niches.

That's why I recently hired him for a new project I'm putting together.

Anyhoo… Jim has a unique perspective on the long term investment and payoff from a properly promoted blog.

It resonates with some thoughts and concerns I've had recently.

First of all, I'm not really feeling this "send e-mails instead of directing people to the blog" thing.

In one of my other businesses, it immediately TRIPLED sales from e-mail marketing.

But this blog is a different animal.

I'm trying to build a long term community of like-minded people. I'm not looking for an immediate payoff.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, one of the things that has suffered from the "send e-mails instead of directing people to a blog post" is the amount of comments.

I think comments on the blog are pretty important for community-building… not to mention search engine positioning. (Plus it strokes my ego and lets me know somebody is listening.)

It's important for me that you know I appreciate your comments. I read every one… and try to respond to most of them, too.

When I'm really busy and can't respond, I get concerned you may feel like I'm "snubbing" you… or something like that.

I promise you that's not the case.

Here's the thing…

Recently I've taken on a LOT of work. I'm completely re-inventing my main biz and working on three other big projects… and several smaller "bread and butter" projects, too.

I'm busier than I've been in years.

I'm "making hay while the sun is still shining"… for urgent reasons I'm only sharing with my Inner Circle clients and private mastermind group.

So please don't feel bad if I can't immediately respond to your comments. I promise you I read them all and will respond when I can.

Several very sharp marketers have told me I'm wasting my time doing all this… and should only spend my time with people who are BUYERS… not just subscribers to a free blog.

I guess that's true… if you only look at immediate return on investment.

But I'm looking at the bigger picture.

Yes, it's true I'm in the process of building a business around what I do here at DobermanDan.com. I've made that very clear.

I'm going to have to be more selective with whom I share my more advanced stuff. I only want to reveal that to those who are truly ready for it and can benefit most from it. (Click here if you think you're qualified for that.)

But I'm not going to slack off on my free content just because I'm soon going to be offering more paid content.

I'm still going to do my best to continue providing you with a lot of value… even though many of my colleagues say I'm wasting my time and "casting pearls before swine." (THEIR words, not mine.)

So my DobermanDan.com "e-mail versus blog post" experiment has ended… for now.

I'm glad I tried it. It's paying off big time in other niches… but may not be the best thing right now to support my plans for this blog.

Why not give it a try yourself and let me know how it works out?

All the best,

Wednesday, 7:54 AM

Dear Friend,

I like reading quotes from successful people.

They inspire me.

You may have noticed I like using them at the beginning of my blog posts, too.

Here are a few memorable ones from some of my heroes:

"Motion beats meditation." – Gary Halbert

"Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly." – Zig Ziglar

"You don't have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going." – Gary Halbert

"I can write better than anybody who can write faster, and I can write faster than anybody who can write better." – A. J. Liebling (Although I first heard this from Gary Bencivenga.)

"Good artists copy. Great artists steal." – Picasso

"Money solves problems not having money creates." – John Carlton

"Success is a process, not an event." – Gary Halbert

"You’re either growing or you’re rotting." – Dan Kennedy

"There is no problem that can’t be solved with a world-class sales letter." – Gary Halbert

"Would you rather have the pain of regret or the pain of discipline?" – Ted Nicholas

“A gifted product is mightier than a gifted pen." – Gary Bencivenga

That's just a handful. I could go on all day.

All these guys will be remembered for these eloquent and inspiring quotes.

What am I most remembered for?

"Brilliant Copywriting Won't Sell A Turd!"

It just popped into my head during an interview with copywriter/marketer par excellente, Ben Settle.

I didn't give it much thought at the time… but for some reason, people seem to remember it.

I really wish I would have said something more eloquent.

I mean, Halbert is remembered for famous stuff like, "Motion beats meditation" and "Success is a process, not an event."

But me? I'm remembered for my turd quote.

And I can't seem to escape it.

In fact, I have this recurring nightmare…

I'm floating around in the ether, watching my own funeral.

All my friends and family are there… there's beautiful music being played by world class musicians… people are reminiscing about me and swapping "Doberman Dan" stories… some are crying, some are laughing…

And after they put me into the ground, a gravestone is carefully placed at the head of my final resting place.

On it, engraved in a beautiful script, are the words…

Here lies Daniel Charles Gallapoo aka Doberman Dan…
"Brilliant copywriting won't sell a turd."

I'm sure my family would be proud.

Anyhoo… the point I was so non-eloquently trying to make was that the copy is just a small part of the success of any project.

There are several other MUCH more important things you need to get right first.

And if you know these, you can make a LOT of money with even half-assed copy.

I know… because I have.

And still am in a couple different niches.

Could I make more money with better copy?

Yup!

And I will… in due time.

In the meantime, I simply followed the advice of my mentor…

"You don't have to get it perfect,
you just have to get it going."
- Gary Halbert

I got these projects GOING. That is the most important part.

Improving them is an ongoing process.

But before you can get anything going… you have to know a few simple "marketing secrets of the masters."

And that is EXACTLY what I'm going to reveal to you.

Here's the deal:

I’m going to start a brand new kitchen table business… and I'm gonna let you in on it.

By the way… what I call a "kitchen table business" is this…

A part-time business you can start on the cheap… either on your kitchen table or online… and you can make a nice side income with very little investment of your time.

An income that keeps coming in month after month… but only takes a couple hours a week to run.

And if you know how to do it, many of these projects can be turned into 6-figure or even 7-figure businesses.

Nowadays I usually start these projects online first and then take them offline for even more money.

Usually… but not always.

As a matter of fact, a recent project for a client was done for direct mail ONLY… and it's gonna make an absolute FORTUNE as soon as he starts rolling out.

Anyhoo… like I said, I'm starting a new kitchen table project soon in a brand new niche.

AND I’m going to do something I’ve never done before.

I’m going to…

Let You "Look Over My Shoulder" During The Entire Process…
So You can Discover All My Best Money-Making Secrets!

This is the stuff I've only shared with a HANDFUL of people in my inner circle.

I've never shared it in my blog… and probably never will.

I enjoy writing my blog.

It's my way of passing on many of the marketing secrets I've discovered from 16+ years in the wonderful world of mail order and direct response… and the secrets I learned working side by side with marketing legend, Gary Halbert.

But there's a LOT more insider information I can reveal that goes way beyond the scope of this free blog.

And to be quite frank, I have to be really careful with whom I share this knowledge.

It's much too powerful for me to let it get into the hands of some scumbag rip off artist.

See, this stuff is REALLY powerful.

I'm talking really high level persuasion secrets. (After all, that's all marketing really is… persuasion.)

And like any other power, it can be used for good or evil… and be equally powerful for either.

Not to mention, there are a lot of secrets I gleaned from Halbert… especially for high income earners… that I am simply unwilling to publish in a public forum.

My trusted contacts around the globe don't want their contact info posted online…

…And most important…

I don't want this most sensitive information indexed and archived by Google and open to various wolves in sheep's clothing and other low-life scumbags who make their living preying upon others.

So I've decided that the best way to reveal these insider secrets and sensitive information is to launch a premium service.

And to launch this new premium service, I'm going to let you look over my shoulder, step-by-step as I start my new business.

I won't hold anything back.

You'll discover my entire process for starting these "lifestyle" businesses.

If it brings in a ton of cash, you'll know every tiny detail of how I did it.

If it totally flops… you'll be right there with me… so we can BOTH learn from the experience and move on to something else that WILL work.

Other than my recent 8-week Kitchen Table Business coaching program, I've never gone this "deep" with anybody before and revealed all these inner circle secrets.

And month after month, I will continue to reveal my most effective success secrets amassed from years in the direct marketing trenches.

If you've never started a business in your life but dream of relaxed lifestyle only working a few hours a week…

…Or you already have a successful business and are looking to take it to the next level…

Then This is For YOU!

I SHOULD charge a hefty price for this… because it's worth it.

But I want to make it accessible to anybody who sincerely wants to discover the secrets to living the same "lazy man's way to riches" I've enjoyed since I declared my freedom from my J.O.B. (Journey Of the Broke) in 1997.

So it's NOT going to cost a fortune.

In fact, the monthly investment will be approximately HALF of what you'd spend a day on a Starbucks coffee.

Have I got your greed glands going yet?

Would you like to be "let in" on my best money-making "lazy lifestyle" secrets?

"You are writing the script of your life."
- John Carlton
Dear Friend,
Thoreau was right…
Most people really DO live lives of quiet desperation and die with the music still inside them.
Or like John Carlton said at our recent mastermind meeting…
Most people live their entire lives as if following a script written by somebody else.
They have no earthly idea THEY are writing the script.

And even more amazing… they have no idea their script writing software has a delete button…

… Or they can change the plot… or even the entire cast of characters at any time.

You thought you had to follow the present plot out to the very end?

Not at all.

You thought you were on the last page of the last chapter?

Only if that's what YOU decide.

Any time you decide, you can introduce an entirely new cast of characters… a brand new plot… and as many new pages as you need to complete your story.

Any time.

Even right now.

Did your last chapter not turn out like you expected?

Your hero went left at the fork in the road only to decide 500 miles down the road that he should have gone right?

No biggie.

Have him turn around and go back!

It really IS that easy.

In fact…

I Give You Permission To Do It!

If you've been sitting on your ass waiting for some magical, mystical authority figure to float down from the heavens, anoint you and grant you permission to make a change in your life…

There ya go!

You just got it.

You no longer have any excuses.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to take my own advice…

I'm going to back track to the fork in the road and go the other direction.

See, I think I may have gotten a little side-tracked with my blog here.

I've been creating a lot of content for people who already have successful businesses but want to take them to the next level.

I've also been talking a lot about the success mindset and how to overcome challenges. (Probably because I've had a lot of challenges to overcome recently.)

So I may have lost track of my main focus… and that is to be…

The Kitchen Table Entrepreneur's Best Friend!

Making millions is a great goal.

But before you can make your first million, you've got to make your first dollar.

Or an extra $500 a month.

Or maybe an extra $1,000 a month would make a difference in your life.

Back when I was a lowly civil servant, an extra $1,000 a month would have made a HUGE difference.

Heck, an extra $250 a month would have helped… a LOT.

So if you're like I was and have a job you're DYING to get out of… or maybe you'd just like to make a nice extra chunk of change each month from a part-time kitchen table venture…

Let's Get Started Rewriting The Script Of Your Life!

Who knows… maybe your little kitchen table business could turn into something bigger.

Several of mine did.

Oops! There I go again… getting ahead of myself!

Let's get you started making an extra $500 to $1,000 a month first. THEN we can start talking about the bigger money.

So how are we going to start rewriting your life script and get you making some more money?

How about with one of my famous kitchen table businesses?

That's the best way I know.

In fact, in this post I've already taken you step-by-step and shown you EXACTLY how I started my very first kitchen table entrepreneurial venture.

That's a darn good model to follow. It's worked for me a bunch of times… in a plethora of niches.

In my recent Kitchen Table Business Coaching Program, I took 11 guys through this entire process with me.

But I think I can go one better.

I'm going to start a brand new kitchen table business… in a brand new niche I've never worked in before.

AND I'm going to do something I've never done before.

I'm going to…

Document The Entire Process For You!

That's right… you'll get all the behind the scenes scuttlebutt.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

If this thing blows up and makes me an extra six figures a month, you'll get every single detail about how I did it.

If I get side-tracked trying to "chase two rabbits at the same time" (like so many entrepreneurs try to do)… I won't lie to you.

If it's just a "base hit"… making me an extra $500 to $2,000 a month… you'll know the exact plan I followed.

If I fall flat on my face and the entire project bombs… I won't hide it from you. You'll get every dirty little detail.

Home run… base hit… or strike out…

You're Going To Discover All My Best
Money-Making Secrets!

What's that?

You say you're chomping at the bit to watch me in action and discover my lazy man's way of making money?

Well, keep your drawers on, grasshopper.

The first lesson you must learn is patience.

I know… patience sucks. You want it NOW!

But to tell you the truth, this stuff is just too good to share with everybody and their brother.

You're gonna have to QUALIFY to get these secrets.

And the first step in doing that is to click here.

As soon as you do that, you'll be presented with an opportunity to get on a special list.

Once you're on this special list, you'll be the first to watch me "in action"… starting a brand new Doberman Dan kitchen table business… step-by-step… revealing ALL the nuts and bolts of making it happen… and watching the fungolas roll in.

Sound good?

Great!

Click here now to set yourself apart from the crowd and start rewriting the script of your life.

All the best,

P.S. Wanna know why people always say the "P.S." is the second most important part of a letter?

It's from back in the old direct mail days.

Usually, after looking at the headline, people would immediately skip to the end of the letter to see who had sent it.

And while they were looking at the end of the letter, the P.S. was a good opportunity to grab their attention.

That's why you always hear the "you must ALWAYS include a P.S. in your sales copy" rule parroted by different gurus.

Wanna hear some copywriting heresy?

I've tested it online in my main niche… and the P.S. didn't make a lick of difference in response.

You see… online, people usually already know who is writing to them.

It's not like the old direct mail days where you had to skip to the end of the letter to find out.

So maybe… just maybe… online at least, the P.S. ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Don't get me wrong… I think it's important to learn "the rules" and have a good foundation.

But some of the most successful direct mail pieces and websites in the history of direct response have broken the rules.

So, yeah… learn the rules first… then try breaking them and see what happens.

Who knows… maybe breaking the rules is what's gonna make you your first million.

Click here now to discover how I break the rules and still make money hand over fist.

-Napoleon Bonaparte

Sunday, 1:11 PM

Dear Friend,

I was a short skinny kid.

I got picked on a lot because of that.

I guess that's why I eventually got into bodybuilding. (I'll leave THAT to the shrinks to analyze.)

Anyhoo… back in junior high, a group of my friends were making fun of some kid. I can't even remember why or what they were teasing him about.

Having been the object of this type of cruelty numerous times in the past you'd think I'd have known better… but like a typical sheep, I joined in.

Even though I joined in late on the teasing, this kid picked ME out of the crowd to call out with the "fightin' words" of the day…

"Meet Me At The Water Tower After School!"

Of course, this got the proverbial response, "fight… fight… fight!", shouted in unison.

There were probably eight other guys making fun of this kid, but since I was the puniest, he picked ME out of the crowd as the one he was going to fight.

Smart kid, actually. He chose an opponent he could most likely whip.

But there was one very important lesson we were both about to learn…

It's Not The Size Of The Dog In The Fight,
It's The Size Of The FIGHT In The Dog!

Even though I wasn't "Doberman Dan" back then, (I was still just little Danny Gallapoo), apparently I already had some Doberman in me starting to come alive.

Keep in mind, this was the first REAL fight I had ever been in.

Because I was picked on a lot, I had become a very skilled communicator. I learned how to talk my way out of fights. I had to. I was a puny little guy, afraid of my own shadow.

But I couldn't talk my way out of this one.

I had been called out in front of all my friends and a bunch of cute girls. If I didn't show up at the water tower, they would all know I was a coward.

So against my better judgment, I was there waiting at the water tower after school.

My challenger showed up along with what looked like the entire student body.

He started the whole fracas with a punch that felt like a cannon ball hit me square in the face.

I'll NEVER forget that feeling.

It hurt a LOT worse than I had imagined.

But once the adrenaline kicked in, pain wasn't a problem.

Nobody had ever taught me how to fight or defend myself… but I figured ANY action was better than standing there like a lifeless rag doll taking a merciless beating.

So I unleashed everything I had…

Punches, kicks, chokes…

I think I even BIT this kid like a crazed rabid dog.

Did you ever see the movie "A Christmas Story"?

If you haven't, drop EVERYTHING you're doing this very instant and go rent that movie. It's REQUIRED viewing for all Doberman Dan subscribers.

Trust your Uncle DD… your life will be better for it.

I was like Ralphie in the scene where he finally stands up to the bully.

After putting up with years of being bullied, I unleashed a lifetime of rage and fury on this poor unsuspecting kid.

We both discovered a life-changing lesson that day…

He Picked A Fight With A WARRIOR!

If the school janitor hadn't have pulled me off that kid, I might have KILLED him.

Until that day, I had no idea I had that kind of fight in me.

It has come in pretty handy since.

Saved my life several times… literally.

And it's responsible for all the success I've experienced in this crazy world of entrepreneurship I've immersed myself in over the past 20 years.

Anyhoo… let's get back to U. L. Light Junior High School in Barberton, Ohio…

My challenger limped away like a dog with his tail tucked under his legs while I enjoyed a short-lived victory.

Why "short-lived"? This is what happened a couple days later…

After this kid had a few days to recover from his beating, he snuck up behind me at a vulnerable moment and sucker punched me… then ran away like a coward.

Enjoy Your Victories…
They Will Probably Be Short-Lived!

Just a couple days ago, I published this post about my victory over cancer.

While still celebrating my victory, that S.O.B. came back and sucker punched me!

I got a call from my sister informing me my favorite uncle is so eaten up with cancer, he only has a few days to live.

Hijo de puta! Malparido!

I cussed in Spanish so I don't get hate mail from all the whiny, easily offended "do nothings" who always feel it's their God-given duty to police any word choices they don't feel are appropriate. I'm just not up to dealing with those guys right now.

BTW, did ya ever notice the easily offended are never the people who actually accomplish anything. They're just the whiners, thumb-suckers, critics and cowards on the sidelines… watching the REAL warriors get dirty and bloody in the arena making things happen?

Where was I?

Oh yeah… that bastard cancer was so upset I defeated him, he snuck on me and sucker punched me.

(Yes, I know "snuck" isn't a real word. The correct word is "sneaked"… but nobody uses that in real day to day conversation. Can we get back to the story now?)

All this got me to thinking…

Most victories aren't permanent.

You can't take a hill, high five yourself and promptly lie down in the daisies to drink wine and retire.

Nope.

After you take that hill, you have to keep your weapon at the ready and your mind sharp, staying on the lookout for the enemy. He's bound to come back sooner or later.

At least that's how it's played out in my life.

The very minute the project you've invested every last cent of your life savings in and slaved over for years is successful, someone is going to knock you off.

The very second the results come in from the copy you've lived and breathed for the past 8 to 12 weeks… and you find out you've won the control… the marketing director is on the phone sealing the deal with another hired gun to beat your control.

So enjoy your victories… but stay vigilant.

There is always another battle waiting.

Even if all you want to do is just KEEP the hill you just took, you're going to have to fight.

That's the life of an entrepreneur.

The scars, black eyes, bruises, scraped knees, bloody knuckles, and occasional empty bank account…

It won't be easy.

But if you persevere… it will be worth more than you can possibly imagine.

I promise.

All the best,

P.S. I just finished my first ever coaching program a few weeks ago.

It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I never thought I'd enjoy being a coach this much.

Many of my proteges made some life-changing breakthroughs.

And I learned a few things, too.

Being a coach is a LOT more work and emotional energy than I expected.

And I drastically UNDER-priced it.

If I ever do a 4 to 8-week program like that again, the investment will be at least $3,000 to $4,000.

But, if you're interested in working directly with me, having me reveal all my insider secrets and shortcuts to getting you on the fast track to financial and personal success… I've got some good news for you…

I've figured out a way we can work together…
without it costing you an arm and a leg!

I can't totally let the cat out of the bag yet… but this will be an unprecedented opportunity to get direct personal attention from me… including phone and e-mail access… for a mere pittance of my normal consulting and copywriting fees.

In fact, if you can afford cable TV… you can afford this.

Tentatively, I'm calling this brand new program Doberman Dan's Doghouse.
