Dear Friend,
I've always got my antennae up looking for new opportunities.
You'd be surprised at all the different places I've discovered unexploited opportunities. You can find them everywhere… if you keep your eyes and ears open.
Lately, I've been most interested in affluent markets.
Why?
Because it takes about the same amount of work and investment to sell a $5,000 product as it does a $30 product… so which would you rather sell?
Anyhoo… check out this article I saw on on Yahoo News the other day.
After I read that, I looked this …

Dear Friend,
I don't remember if I ever mentioned this before…
I had the good fortune of working side by side with master copywriter and marketer, Gary Halbert, for almost a year and a half.
We were actually roommates for about six or seven months. He shared my house in Costa Rica for about three months. And when I moved back to the states I lived in his "client apartment" a few floors down from his apartment in Miami.
ATTENTION: Brief Side Track & Marketing Lesson…
No, I'm not losing my mind. I …

Dear Friend,
I'm sleeping on the couch alone in my home office tonight of all nights… Valentines day!
What the heck did I do wrong?
All I know is the Colombiana reacted quite strongly (and not in a POSITIVE way) when I presented her Valentine's Day card.
Here's a copy:
And here's page 2:
Ladies, can you help me out and explain why the Colombiana got so upset?
Ain't I a stinker!
I'm just having a little fun with you today… but there is a marketing lesson in all this.
My, how times …

Dear Friend,
I just tore into my Dan Kennedy newsletters for the month.
Not only did I get some inspirational material to swipe for the welcome webinar with my new Kitchen Table Business proteges… I also ran across THIS in Dan's Marketing To The Affluent newsletter:
It's always nice to be recognized by your peers… especially someone like Dan Kennedy.
Anyhoo… here are the lessons of the day:
Opportunities are everywhere. You just have to constantly have your antennae up. (BTW, I found this article in the Robb Report. I read it fairly …

Dear Friend,
Last week I did a free teleseminar revealing how I leap-frogged over the "shameless whore" phase of freelance copywriting and jumped right into the high paying gigs.
My first official gig as a solo freelancer paid me equivalent to about $12,000 in today's rapidly declining dollar. (If things keep up, I'll have to adjust that to about $2 million in another few years!)
Anyhoo… if you made some excuse to miss it, you really did miss some good stuff. A lot of copywriters were slapped upside the noggin and …

Dear Friend,
It's late and I can't sleep.
And counting sheep isn't helping. (Maybe I should try counting Dobermans instead, huh?)
See, I've been thinking about all the young copywriters I met at John Carlton's Action seminar.
A lot of these guys and gals are struggling. They're trapped in the "paying your dues" phase… or as John calls it… the "shameless whore" phase.
Have you ever been there?
You're stuck accepting crappy gigs you don't really want… with difficult clients who don't really "get" the value of what you do… for a mere pittance …

Dear Friend,
Sometimes I need to let new ideas "percolate" a while inside my cranium.
It helps me put everything in the proper place… separating the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
Now that I've had some percolating time… and after reviewing my notes… I thought you might like to discover a few of the things I picked up at John Carlton's Action Seminar.
These aren't presented in any particular order. I'm just getting them on paper (metaphorically speaking) as they pop into my demented noggin.
Here goes…
Clarity of Vision
Should you be …

Dear Friend,
I'm in the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, CA right now after two intense days of John Carlton's Action Seminar.
I met a bunch of really cool people.
I even got to meet a few of my subscribers, Duane, Colin and Francis. It was fun getting to know them and "breaking bread" together.
I also got to meet Teran Dale, one of the foremost experts on PPC and Google Adwords. Turns out, Teran is a subscriber of mine, too.
He gave a presentation about how to lower your Adwords …
